There will be a weekend of live music and theatre taking place on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 July 2006 at Verbeer Manor. Free tickets will be available around the Culm Valley - information on venues coming soon.

The Singing Island by White Rabbit Theatre

The Singing Island is a lively piece of storytelling theatre, which aims to entertain, delight and increase awareness of the values by which we live using music, singing and humour.

The story is that of an island whose unity and magical power is broken by the introduction of sparkly, shiny, noisy ‘things’ that the islanders can ‘own’ for themselves. Traditionally the islanders sing together through their work, play and rest, but slowly, they forget how to make this magic together. Isolated and distracted by the ever increasing number of shiny new ‘things’, they fail to notice the terrible consequences awaiting their island...
