Maurice Broadway Firstly I am an Elvis tribute artist, not an impersonator – my job is to help remind people of just how good Elvis was. How did I start? Life is full of surprises and out of the blue I was diagnosed with cancer. The day before my chemo treatment was due to start, I visited a karaoke party. I thought, what have I got to lose, and put my name down to sing ‘Return to Sender’ – when I finished singing, I could not believe the response. The requests began from there and kept me singing right through five years of treatment to my final ‘all clear’. Now I travel far and wide to sing and enjoy every minute of it! |
